Recorded during a three day stop in Berlin during Kiss The Frog's Fall 2002 European tour, The Berlin Tapes features raw intensity of a KTF live show spread over five tracks.

The Berlin Tapes features the first - and heaviest - recording of KTF classic "Propaganda" which was one of the first songwriting collaborations between Charles and lyricist Jesse Jarnow. "Spy vs Spy" is child's seeing a parallel between playground antics and the classic Mad Magazine strip. "Berliner Studie" is an atmospheric recomposition of KTF improvisation by engineer Dan Kadoo. "Hard" is an improvised, drop D excursion into thrash metal based on an improvisation that took place days earlier at a tour stop in Immeldorf, Germany. "Destination Imagination" is a dreamy narcotic prescription for understanding and peace at the dawn of the still going war on terror.
